Young Explorer Programme: Campfire Evening!

As part of our exciting and enriching Young Explorers Programme, all KS1 children were invited to wrap up warmly and join us back in school after dark for an evening of night time adventure!

 

Over two evenings, Year 1 and 2 pupils were treated to a torchlight code breaking activity, with the aim of locating nocturnal animals hiding around the grounds. Children (and adults too!) then enjoyed hot chocolate and toasted brioche around the campfire hosted by our Forest School's Lead teacher.

 

Both evenings were magical, with the children thoroughly enjoying the new experience of being out around school in the dark, developing teamwork, resilience and bravery.
