Personal Development: Aims

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT: PUPILS

At St Luke's, pupils' positive personal development leads to positive mental health and physical wellbeing. We believe that in promoting and providing a rich range of opportunities - both extracurricular and within all aspects of the curriculum - we will enable children to:

a) have high self-ambition, achieve well and be successful

b) develop resilience and risk taking that extends and deepens their knowledge and understanding by challenging themselves and promoting their own interests and talents

c) develop social and emotional literacy so that pupils are able to form and sustain positive relationships and friendships

d) respect and accept the rights of others, their choices and differences

e) to understand the Protected Characteristics within the Equalities Act, 2010

f) to respect and uphold British Values
